About Studio MD

Dr. Harwood created Studio MD out of a desire for women and their families to have a place where they can access high quality medical care in an environment that emphasizes healthy, balanced living and provides tools for transformation of bodies and lives. Dr. Harwood places emphasis on prevention, wellness and lifestyle intervention not only for maintaining health but as the cornerstone of disease management and recovery as well. At Studio MD, we believe that the relationship between the physician and the patient should be that of partners. The patient sets their own health goals, utilizing the physician as a resource for diagnosis, education and advocacy.

Studio MD is a membership practice. Unlike "concierge" practices that often charge patients large fees for physician access; we accept insurance and charge only a small monthly fee making our practice accessible to anyone who sees this type of practice as beneficial to their health and lifestyle goals. This fee allows us to offer technology and amenities not found at other traditional offices.

We offer longer visits for our patients to allow for the time necessary to truly listen to a patient's concerns and address them appropriately. We utilize the latest innovations in health technology to increase office efficiency and enhance your access to healthcare and to your physician. We provide the ability for you to set your own appointments online. This means no more waiting for the office to open and no more time wasted on hold. We provide email access to your doctor as well as web appointments for established patients when appropriate. We are also committed to coordinating information from other specialists that you may consult so that you always have a doctor who knows your complete health history.

Dannielle Harwood M.D. practices medicine with an integrative approach that addresses the connection of our body with the mind, spirit and environment.

Dr. Harwood received her M.D. from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and trained in Family Medicine at University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore. She has been in private practice in Westminster, MD, held a faculty position at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Rose Family Medicine Residency and been both Medical Director and Consultant for DORE Learning Achievement Centers, USA.

Dr. Harwood lives in Chico with her husband and two daughters.
